Serendipity - the faculty or phenomenon of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for; also : an instance of this from Miriam-Webster.com
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you expected one outcome and suddenly discovered something entirely unexpected and wonderful? We did. Last summer, we found a photo of an absolutely charming flower girl’s dress and posted it here on Lucky in Love. A couple of weeks ago, as we were putting the final touches on the new 2010 B&E Wedding Resource Guide, we got an email from someone who said they were the designer of that little dress. They gave us their website url.
Imagine our surprise to find a former wedding shop supplier who now sells exclusively online and makes custom and couture children’s formal wear, specializing in flower girl and junior bridesmaids dresses. The clothes are exquisite and each outfit is made to order.
Marg Hyland, the founder and president of Pegeen, has been designing children’s formal wear since 1982. They are located in Orlando and make all garments individually in their own US factory. They even answer their own phones from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and you can speak directly to a designer. And we especially like that they believe you can have a career and kids too! You might even reach them on their cell phones during a field trip to the beach.
We feel lucky to have found Pegeen.com and wanted to share.

Here is the one color universally flattering to both men and women - so why wouldn't this be the perfet wedding color? It would! We have brought you color boards with hues of this color before, and they are consistently responded to with a great deal of positive feedback. One of the secrets of Turquoise is it has the uniqueness of holding both warm and cool hues. It is one of those colors that looks sensational with brown, yellow, red, orange, well the list just goes on and on. If you haven't given it a thought - this might just be the right time to think about where it could or would work for you. Sometimes you just know when you are in the presence of greatness. That is exactly how we feel when we look at these amazing images from a bridal shower planned by event planner Erin Borges. This purple perfect bridal shower was held at the Lalla Grill at Del Monte Shopping Center in Monterey, CA. We'll be featuring more images from this spectacular event this week.
A 5 course organic purple themed menu (listed below) was created for the 17 attending guests. NONE of the food was dyed purple. It was all created in it's organic purple state.
