Selecting a wedding venue is often the most difficult part of planning a wedding. Luckily for us who live in the Pacific Northwest, we have a variety of venues that offer incredible backdrops... from city to country to water views and more. We'll be beginning a series of Seattle and Washington Highlights every Monday so be sure to check back often if you are planning a Puget Sound wedding. We get invited to lots of open houses and events through the year and enjoy them all. But sometimes there's one so special, we just have to say, 'You should have been there!'
Sixty of the Seattle area's best wedding vendors put their heads together and came up with the idea of showcasing their talents on location. Put that together with six fabulous venues in Woodinville and you have an amazing event. The group calls themselves 'Weddings in Woodinville'. Everyone met at Columbia Winery where the brides all received corsages. We registered, sampled wine and other goodies, and were given swag bags. On a schedule, we were driven in custom vans and limos to DeLille Cellars, JM Cellars, Novelty Hill - Janiuk Winery, Russell's The Loft and Willows Lodge. At each location, the vendors had pulled out all the stops and there was more fabulous food and wine, music, flowers, additional goodies and a chance to meet and talk with the vendors.
Can you think of a better way to see how gorgeous a facility can be than all decked out by the actual vendors? We can't. Yes, you should have been there. But if you weren't, there's next year. Weddings in Woodinville will do it again next January 30, 2011. Since they sold out this year, plan on getting your tickets early! Then instead of saying "I should have..." you can get in on all the fun and say "I went to Weddings in Woodinville!"

This purple perfect bridal shower was held at the Lalla Grill at Del Monte Shopping Center in Monterey, CA. We'll be featuring more images from this spectacular event this week.
A 5 course organic purple themed menu (listed below) was created for the 17 attending guests. NONE of the food was dyed purple. It was all created in it's organic purple state.
If ever there was a list of the area's best power couples, Jenn and Stephen would certainly be at the top. Jenn is a leading marketing director at Microsoft and Stephen is a successful entrepreneur. But as impressive as these two are apart, friends of this couple would say the two of them together are nothing short of magic.
Planning a Seattle wedding for February 2010, Jenn and Stephen are busy finalizing the details of their lavish, yet down-home celebration. One thing is for certain, their wedding is sure to be the event of the year.

Now is the chance to still save big on bridal jewelry from Erin Gallagher. Through the end of the day you can receive 40% off your ENTIRE order. That's huge! And her jewelry designs are quite beautiful. So we suggest heading over their right now to check out the offerings.
It may only be November 6th, but it's never too early to start planning for Christmas. The best part about the holiday season is that all your childhood fantasies get to come true. You get to be a kid again, and in this stressed out, fast paced world, that is pretty darn special.
To get you in the yuletide mood, check out the great holiday goodies and decor from MacKenzie-Childs. If you are a kid, or just a kid at heart, you'll love the dreamlike designs by one of the most original designers of home decor and furnishings around. Yes, her designs are quite expensive, but just a few small items around the house do the trick to get your in the spirit.
Whenever we come across a new and novel idea for brides, we know it is our duty to share it with you. Traditionally, guests gave the wedding couple gifts along the line of household items to help them start their new lives. These items were essential to the young couple as they were very young and did not own any of the necessary household items to begin their new lives together. And in registering at any of the traditional retailers, the guests are subject to additional charges beyond the gift itself like the sales tax and shipping charges.
In the modern day, couples are getting married later in their lives which means they already have many if not all the things they need for a household - pots and pans, flatware, stemware, etc. Additionally, as the couples unite as a household, they will be consolidating many of their things, getting rid of the duplicate household items. So the last thing they may want is more "stuff" to have to manage and find a place to store more household items.
This is where Wedding Futures comes in. For the modern couple, matters like the down payment for their first home or tuition for their children far outweigh that of fine china or gravy boats. Or even paying off the cost of the wedding and honeymoon as more couples are paying for their own weddings! Wedding Futures allows you to set up a registry for all the securities you need. At registration couples select from one of five types of portfolio profiles - Conservative, Moderate, Aggressive, Green, or Socially Responsible. Stocks in each risk profile span a broad range of prices to fit every gifter’s budget.
This happens only twice a year - once in the Spring and once in the Fall. Contact the Spa of your choice for the treatments and times available for Spa Week. Book now - limited time only. For more information about Spaahh at Hotel 1000 visit banquetevent.com

Every once in a while we come across some of the most spectacular displays of event design and know it would certainly be a crime not to share them with you. From celebrity event designer, Antony Todd, come some of the most unique and truly inspirational event themes we have seen. What we love most is the variety he offers and how imaginative and creative his ideas are. They translate magnificently from conception to execution. Although these are mostly examples of corporate and social events, there is no reason why you as a bride can't be inspired by some of his awesome expressions. Can you choose a favorite? We can't!
