Savvy Wedding Planning Tip Of The Day

Getting To The Church On Time

Renting a limousine: At least once in a lifetime everyone should enjoy the experience of riding in a luxury limousine. It can be the final touch to complete your wedding day, so be sure to include it in your budget. The bride and her parents ride to the ceremony site in a relaxed and stylish atmosphere, then the bride and groom make their grand exit as they leave for the reception.

Don't reserve a limousine over the phone: Go to the limousine service and personally inspect the vehicle in question. Be sure to work with an established, reputable company. Such businesses will display, or readily provide a business license, liability insurance certificates, and other important information. If you have any concerns or questions about the service, ask for references and check them out.

Be sure to get what you paid for: Make sure the limousine will be cleaned and presentable when it arrives on your wedding day. Read the contract carefully before paying a deposit. Make sure the date, times, locations (addresses), and the specific limousine you want are explicitly stated on your contract. Remember that gratuities are usually additional. If the vehicle is not presentable, or the chauffeur isn't professional, you are under no obligation to pay a tip.

Many styles of luxury transportation: Various styles of limousines are available - presidential stretch, super-stretch, mega-stretch, stretch flagships, and vintage limousines (including Rolls Royce). Luxury vans are also available to transport wedding party members and guests.

Wedding attendants' transportation: The wedding attendants are usually responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the wedding and reception. Sometimes, however, arrangements are made by the bride and groom. Luxury vans are a convenient way to transport wedding attendants to the ceremony and reception sites, and also to ensure that everyone arrives together on time.

Many uses for luxury vans: Vans are also ideal for transporting wedding gifts to their designated destination conveniently and safely. You may want to ask a responsible person to be in charge of supervising the moving of gifts to the place they will be stored until you return from your honeymoon. Other uses include carrying decorations, food, and out-of-town guests.

Beverages are not usually included in limousine service: Bottled water, champagne or soft drinks are a nice touch.

10 Crucial Questions to ask your driver:
  1. What vehicles are available?
  2. Am I guaranteed a certain vehicle?
  3. Do you have proof of insurance?
  4. How many people can you accommodate?
  5. Do you charge by the hour, even for time not in route?
  6. How many miles can you travel?
  7. Will the car be cleaned prior to pickup?
  8. Do you provide decorations or other special services such as drinks or snacks?
  9. How do you handle multiple pick up times and drop off locations?
  10. Who will be the driver and how much experience does he/she have?
